Many years ago, we bought a Talalay Latex mattress from you and have loved sleeping on that mattress to this day. We liked it so much, that soon after we purchased a Talalay Latex topper for our son’s mattress. Today, we’re looking for another Talalay Latex mattress for our summer house. Dunlop Latex came out stronger than before. Talalay Latex, a mixed bag. Much of the Talalay Latex is now produced in China. The Chinese add clay to the latex they make. With clay being a natural material, it’s sold as all natural latex. You can tell that it’s Chinese made latex by the price. It’s a lot cheaper and It doesn’t wear well…lasting only months instead of years. Cheaper to buy, but more expensive to use. I am looking for a two sided flippable mattress, firm, not pillow top. I bought a one sided Sealy Posterpedic a couple of years ago. There is a firm section going all the way down the middle. You can't lay across the mattress, you can't even attempt to lay in the middle, it's HARD, none of this crap about the ticking moving to make it hard. It's been like that from day one. And I do turn it around every six months. I can't attempt to sleep on the other side, I'm single, so no one shares my bed. The lumps from where my body is when the mattress is turned around, are super uncomfortable so I can't trade sleeping on one side and then the other. I'm 67 and have never had this problem before. I've had the same king sized bed frame for some 30+ years, so it's not that, either. I think it's the way they make mattresses when they started this non-flippable thing. This is my first non-flippable mattress, too. I'm looking at the s&f Blisswood, as that is what I keep getting referred to when I read stuff on the internet. I'm 67 years old and 270 pounds. I have spine problems, so I need a firm mattress. My husband and I are both very heavy people. We’re both young, 30’s, with no physical problems as yet. He is just under 6 foot tall and about 360 lbs. Where as I'm 5'2" and 240lbs. I’m replacing a very old Talalay Latex mattress. As I shop, I see plenty of Dunlop latex mattresses, but no Talalay. The luxurious feel of Talalay Latex is what I want. Dunlop latex has made a strong comeback, due to the efforts of the manufacturers in Sri Lanka. Talalay Latex?…not so much. There is Talalay Latex coming out of China, but you’ll want to stay clear of that. The Chinese are adding clay to the mix. It’s so.d as all natural, but it’s not pure.
