It’s producing a strong chemical smell that I’ve just discovered is called “off-gassing.” Unfortunately, we didn’t do the research prior to purchase to learn about this. In reading a response to another person’s Sealy mattress question, it sounds like they are dangerous to sleep on due to the foam and vinyl materials. Is it safe to sleep on this mattress if we allow a period of time for gasses to decrease and run an air purifier with a Hepa filter to help, or should we send it back for something safer? If you think we should return it, could you please provide a few recommendations for us to explore? To recommend, you should know that I have disc issues in my back and neck.
