I have been reading your comments about mattresses and am impressed by your knowledge. My husband and I, too, had slept on a Beautyrest Recharge Hospitality at a resort and fell in love with it. 
I figured it was only made for commercial use under that name and was looking to see if they made it for residential use under another name. 
We have not been happy with memory foam mattresses and would like to find one like the one you describe in the Natura of Canada Greenspring Ultra plush. We like a firm mattress but also one you don’t sink down into and have to climb up to turn over.

The Natura of Canada Greenspring Ultra Plush Mattress is just as you described wanting, using the same support system as was used in that Simmons Beautyrest Mattress you liked so much.
Unfortunately, you can’t buy a Beautyrest mattress without memory foam upholstery today. That hospitality model has been discontinued.


The natural latex upholstery in that Natura Greenspring won’t allow you to sink. It feels like you’re floating. My wife and I have that mattress.
Ours is more than 10 years old and still in great condition, even with each of us weighing more than 200 lbs. 


It will, indeed, be the last mattress you will need to buy.

It’s the memory foam now used by all the name brands that has caused all of your previous purchases to go bad so quickly.
Memory foam is specifically designed to do that, along with sleeping hot, off gassing the toxic chemicals from which memory foam is made, and the sinking in that causes back pain to get worse.

We sell no mattresses that use memory foam, for all of those reasons.
All of our mattresses are upholstered with Latex foam, (none from China).
Latex is and has been the highest quality upholstery material for more than a century….Natural and Hypoallergenic.

Our recommendations are, to some degree, based on body weight.
Our very best it recommended for our heavier customers. 
Some have exceeded 500 lbs.

I need a mattress to relieve my sciatica pain.
I bought a memory foam mattress after the salesman at the store promised me that it would take care of it. 
The only thing it took care of, was making it worse.


I found your blog, after doing some research, that offered a lot of helpful advice. I flipped this mattress over, as I read that you had suggested.
It helps, but not completely. So I don’t think adding a topper is the right choice?


I like a firmer feel, being a large man, so I was thinking that the Natura of Canada Greenspring Luxury Firm Mattress would be a good fit, based on what I’ve been reading.

You’re correct about everything.
A topper is for surface comfort, not support.
The support you’re not getting from your memory foam mattress won’t change by adding a topper.

I am desperate to buy mattresses for my new home, king, queen and twin. The only mattress I've slept on and loved for 25 yrs is the Sealy Posturepe Montoire. What is a good replacement???
The Saatva looks great, but almost $3k for a king is a bit pricy.


There is always Costco's Sealy inner spring plush... but the reviews are so mixed I'm scared to go there.

Nothing is made like your old Sealy.
All of the name brands have been sold.
Sealy and S&F in 2013…Simmons and Serta in 2016.
All of them are now using memory foam…not used in your 25 y/o Sealy.

Memory foam is specifically designed to wear much more quickly and mattresses made with it to need much more frequent replacing.
And if that’s not bad enough, it consists of 61 different chemicals.
They don’t bother to cure the foam, like they did the poly foam in your old Sealy, so those  toxic chemicals off gas in your bedroom.
Memory foam is the only temperature sensitive upholstery material. It softens as it warms from your body’s heat, reflects that heat back to you, and allows the heavier parts of your body you to sink into it, which causes back pain and numbness of the extremities.

The mattress my wife and I have at home is more than 10 years old and still like new, despite each of us weighing more than 200 lbs.
What’s more, I sleep and wake without pain, despite having a very bad back.
I would recommend Natura Greenspring Ultra Plush for your king. 
It’s the highest quality mattress that I’ve been able to find while shopping at the industry trade shows.
Due to the high quality of the components, it’s not as soft as it sounds.

Current one is Sealy that is only a few yrs old.

What you have and all of the other “Name Brands” have been sold to other companies that have been using memory foam to upholster their mattresses. But, it’s not only them. Many mattress manufacturers are using memory foam.
It’s the memory foam that you need to avoid.
Memory foam is a temperature sensitive material that softens as it warms from your body’s heat. This softening are allowing your body to sink and it’s this sinking-in, that is causing your problems.
Other common problems associated with memory foam are:
