We Hate our Tempurpedic Mattress

Hi Pete,
We recently bought a Tempurpedic Mattress. We HATE it!!
My wife had bad hip pain after 2 nights, and I have low back pain.
 
I thought I knew what I was doing, until I came across your site in a search for reviews.
I must have read over 100 posts with some similar to mine.
And while I think I have an idea what you would recommend, I'm still not sure.
So, I will provide my specifics and humbly ask for your recommendation.
 
Stats:
Me: Mid 50's, 6'1" Weight is currently 275 lbs.
I have low back pain. I do have a herniated disc.
 
Spouse: Mid 50's, 5'7" ~130-140 lbs.
She has no known issues, other than hip pain.
 
We are both primarily side sleepers.
 
I am looking for a long term solution.
From what I've read, I'm guessing the Natura Greenspring Ultra Plush Mattress.
Would I need to add a soft latex topper to that?

The topper question is answered after you've had your new mattress for about a week.

My concern is for your wife's hip.
It may not be soft enough for a female side sleeper with a sensitive hip.
