Natura of Canada Greenspring Liberta Ultra Plush Mattress

Hello Pete,
My husband (160 lb side & back sleeper) and I (119 lb side & stomach) are looking for a new mattress. 
I sleep on a mattress at a friend's home or hotel that is extremely comfortable. 
I can never totally figure out what about the mattress is so good.
But I always think the mattress feels dense and you can't feel movement. 
Yet they are soft enough on top to feel good. So, no back or hip pain. 
I recently visited a friend and slept on a Simmons Beautyrest mattress that was pretty comfortable. 
My back felt better. Label said year 2012.
So, would you recommend the Natura of Canada Greenspring Liberta ultra plush mattress with the 9" foundation?

Good Morning Phyllis,
The Natura of Canada Greenspring Ultra Plush is as you describe…dense and you can’t feel movement.
The latex upholstery is more resilient than other types of foams, which makes the surface feel firmer than it sounds. It's comfortable, but not too soft.
You’ll sleep more on it than in it.
You can’t buy a higher quality mattress, at this point.
Simmons was sold to an investment group in 2016 and the quality dropped significantly due to the memory foam they are using.
That same investment group also bought Serta.
Sealy and Stearns & Foster were purchased by Tempurpedic in 2013.
The same drop in quality befell them, as well, and for the same reason.
 
My only concern is the height of the foundation.
The 5” foundation is normally purchased with that 13.5" mattress.
Please measure how high off the floor you want your mattress to be, before choosing the 5” or 9” foundation.
