Gel Memory Foam Mattress Causing Extreme Back Pain

Good Morning Pete,
I need a new mattress that will be good for my spine and I'm in bed 15-18 hours a day.
I currently have an 8" Gel Memory Foam Mattress a couple of years ago.  
This mattress does not support my spine, causing extreme back pain.
 
I have spinal stenosis and degenerative disc disease throughout the whole spine.  
Bulging Disc C3-C8 in Neck, T11-T12 have had fractures.  
L2-L3 are ready for spinal fusion. I have L5 nerve damage on the left side, with the right side deteriorating.
 
I'm 4'11, 186 in weight and generally on my left side for most of the day.
I can only sleep on my sides or back. 
What do you recommend?  
I sincerely appreciate the advice and direction.

Hi Sharrie,
Due to your size and the amount of time you spend in bed, you’re going to need a strong, durable mattress.
Due to your back problems, you’ll need an individually pocketed coil unit.
And, if you want it to last, the mattress must have no memory foam in it.
