Best Mattress for Herniated Discs Causing Lower Back Pain.

Hi Pete,
I want your opinion on what type of mattress is best for me.  I am 44 yrs. old, 185 pounds.
I am typically an active person and actually teach dance.  
I have suffered over the last 5 years due to my dancing and I now have 3 herniated discs causing lower back pain.  
I have had a Simmons Beautyrest Recharge mattress for about 8 years now. 
For the first few years it was comfortable, but now, not so much!  
I've done a lot of research on the mattress industry and what a scam it is!  I'm frustrated!  
I want a mattress that gives me support with no gimmicks.

I have several disc related back problems, including herniated discs.
The mattress my wife and I sleep on allows me to sleep and wake without back pain, which is now more than several years old and still in like new condition…and that’s with each of us weighing more than 200 lbs.
