A Firm Mattress for a Big Man. A Soft Feel for a Small Woman

Hi Pete,
I'm a big man...6'5" and 350 lbs....and I have some back pain that I deal with.
My fiancée is much smaller...5'7" and about 135 lbs. She likes a soft mattress.
The mattresses I've been buying haven't held up well and I'd like some advice as to what I should get.
We don't have a lot of money to spend on this....$2000 max for queen size.
