Time to Replace a 15 Year Old Stearns and Foster Mattress

​Hi Pete,
I've read some of your advice and I can see that you have the mattress matters down to a science! I need your advice please!!
My wife and I have had a S&F for over 15 years and we’ve love it! 
But, as I said, we've had it for over 15 years! So, it's time to replace it.
It’s still very comfortable and we want to get something that is similar.
With all the different options (even within the S&F), all those different names they use store by store - I  am not sure what is the best match.
Your help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

After 15 years, you’re rip for the picking. (A salesman’s term.)
You’ve already convinced yourself that, “It’s time to replace it”.
And while shopping, you won’t find a salesperson who will disagree.
However, your stepping out of a time warp, during which, much has changed…and not for the better.


Almost 11 years ago, Sealy/S&F was sold to Tempur-Pedic.
Since January of 2014, nothing made with the Sealy or Stearns & Foster label has been worth buying….thanks to all the memory foam used.
So, you’d be trading in a perfectly good mattress for one that you’ll hate within a few months after buying it.


“It’s Time” to replace your mattress when you’re no longer sleeping comfortably and when you’re waking up in pain.
With a mattress as high quality as the one you have, you’ll want to hang on to it until it’s really time, which is not now.
