Simmons Beautyrest Advantage Mattress

​Hi Pete,
I’m in the market for a new mattress. 
My current mattress is a Simmons Beautyrest Advantage. 
I know they’ve been discontinued for quite some time. 
On the tag it says the model is M23011.60.7405. 
I know it’s a shot in the dark but would you know if they carry something similar? 
I don’t even know where to begin looking!!

Simmons was sold in 2016 to an investment group that also bought Serta.
The upholstery material was changed to a cheap memory foam that is designed to cause mattresses to need more frequent replacing.
Trading off the name that had been known for quality, they’re dependent on prior customers who assume that the quality is still there. 
Their quality isn’t even close to what it had been.


Simmons had been using polyurethane, latex…and in their later years, prior to being sold, a very high grade of memory foam.
Simmons had always been famous for their individually pocketed coil system, which provides an independent suspension type of support that maintains the natural alignment of the body and spine. 
THIS, more than anything else is what makes your Beautyrest so comfortable.


The key to your next successful purchase is in finding a mattress that has that same type of coil system with no memory foam in it.


Having been in this business for more than a half century, I recommend only non-memory foam mattresses.

Lastly, the mattress my wife and I have been sleeping on for more than a decade…The Natura Greenspring Ultra Plush (not as soft as it sounds, due to having a much higher coil count than either of the other two).
My wife and I are large people, over 200 lbs each.
This is the mattress we recommend for that weight range.

You never want to put a new mattress on an old foundation.
The mattress won’t feel or wear as it should due to weak spots that develop in an old foundation.
And, doing so will void the warranty of any mattress.
If you need a new boxspring/foundation, I recommend the Magniflex KD Foundation, which comes in your choice of height, 5” or 8”, and in your choice of color…black, brown or gray.
They’re very strong and assemble easily with no tools needed.
They are upholstered foundations, a bit dressy, but reasonably priced.
