The mattress we bought in 2004, e bought in Waterville Maine. I loved it! No flipping it, just turning it. It always felt like a big hug when I got into bed. I sleep a lot on my back and occasionally on my left side. We had no choice in replacing our mattress due to things beyond our control. I tried a memory foam mattress given to us from a friend. It was new, but I couldn’t sleep on it because it was too hard. We purchased a new one with a pillow top but it is too hard and bothers my hip and leg. We added a 2 inch gel foam topper with an additional 2 inch pillow topper and it is still too hard. There doesn’t seem to be any give to the mattress once you sink into the toppers. I’m 74 years old and I don’t want to spend the rest of my life not sleeping well and waking up stiff and sore. We paid approximately 1200.00 for the mattress in 2004 and 1,000.00 for the new one we bought in February of 2025. I don’t like the idea of the change in the beauty rest mattress that I just read about. Once I can save up enough money, I will be purchasing a new mattress, much to my husband’s dismay.
