Replacing a Very Old Stearns and Foster Mattress

Hi Pete,
I have a very old Stearns and Foster mattress that needs replacing.
When I say old, I’m talking maybe 30 + years.
It was extremely expensive at the time, their top of the line model.
I can’t find anything like it anywhere, not even from S&F.
Believe it or not, it had materials like cashmere and horse hair in it.
Is there anything that you know of that will come close?

I believe you. I’ve been working in this industry for more than 50 years.
I remember well, S&F mattresses that were made that way.
They had been considered “The Cadillac of the Industry” for decades, until they were purchased by Tempur-Pedic in 2013.
Everything changed when the new line was introduced in January of 2014… and not for the better. Now, it’s all memory foam, which wears quickly, sleeps hot and off gasses the toxic chemicals from which memory foam is made.

I only know of one mattress that is similarly made to your old S&F mattress, which also includes cashmere and horse hair, and more.  It’s very expensive.
