Mattresses That Support Heavier People, Back Shoulder and Hip Pain

​Hi Pete,I have questions about mattresses that support heavier people. 
My weight varies between 250-280 lbs and my wife 170-180. 
We're looking for a California King mattress that will support our weight of course, but also be comfortable .
We are, both, experiencing back, shoulder and hip pain from the current pillow top mattress. 
Any advice on the type of mattress that would best, is appreciated.

Very few mattresses wear well under heavy body weight for very long.
My wife and I are also heavy. Both of us weight more than 200 lbs.
The mattress we have is more than 10 years old and still in great shape.
I have had a very bad back for the last 20+ years, along with s torn rotator cuffs in my shoulders. My wife has a very sensitive hip.
