Full Size Mattress for a Child

​Hi Pete,
We are transitioning or 8 year old child from a twin to a full size mattress.
We want a high quality mattress at the lowest possible price.
I know that we don’t want any memory foam.
We need this mattress to last for as long as possible.
Times being what they are, we really can’t afford to replace it any time soon.
What would you recommend and why?

You didn’t mention if you child is male or female.
At 9 years of age, it doesn’t much matter.
However, if your child is female, her body shape will likely begin to change over the next few years. If so, adding a soft latex topper will provide the extra comfort she’ll need and want for the hip area.
