I have a new Stearns and Foster Mattress that already showing body impressions. It’s only 3 months old, and I’m just past my trial period. After reading your blog, I’m convinced that a latex topper will help. Who makes your latex mattress toppers? I wait make sure that it’s not made in China! Is 2” enough? Soft or Medium? Thanks, Barry Hi Barry, Nothing we carry is made in China! We carry two latex topper lines, “Latex for Less” and “Suite Sleep”. Both have Dunlop Latex, but only Suite Sleep has Talalay Latex. Latex for Less has the best prices for Dunlop Latex, which is really all you need. 2” is enough if adding to the top. If the body impressions are minor, then this is all you need. Latex is extremely resilient… far more so than the memory foam in your mattress. Normally “Soft” is the better choice unless you want a firmer feel. If the body impressions are deep, which usually happens with a mattress that’s a year or two old, then flipping the mattress before adding the topper works better. Then you would need to go with a 3” Soft. Of all the latex toppers available the Suite Sleep 3” Pure Vita Talalay is the softest topper on the market. The latex is processed in Sri Lanka, where one of the major rubber tree groves is located. China gets their latex from the groves in Malaysia… processed in China where they add fillers. Many years ago, we bought a Talalay Latex mattress from you and have loved sleeping on that mattress to this day. We liked it so much, that soon after we purchased a Talalay Latex topper for our son’s mattress. Today, we’re looking for another Talalay Latex mattress for our summer house. Dunlop Latex came out stronger than before. Talalay Latex, a mixed bag. Much of the Talalay Latex is now produced in China. The Chinese add clay to the latex they make. With clay being a natural material, it’s sold as all natural latex. You can tell that it’s Chinese made latex by the price. It’s a lot cheaper and It doesn’t wear well…lasting only months instead of years. Cheaper to buy, but more expensive to use. I made a horrible mistake and bought a Sealy Posturpedic mattress made of memory foam. The off-gassing is terrible (I wish I had seen your website earlier). I'm thinking of taking your advice and buying a pocket coil mattress with no memory foam and then purchasing a latex mattress topper. Have you heard of the Distinction brand of mattresses? If so, do you recommend a specific mattress? Do the Suite Sleep Pure Vita Talalay Latex Toppers take a while to ship?
