It’s hot. It smells. And, it did nothing to relieve my fibromyalgia pain.
Obviously, I won’t be able to get away with “cheap”, but I still need to maximize my dollar for dollar value.
I found your blog while doing some research…research I should have done first.
Anyway, you’ve convinced me that you know what you’re talking about.

Hi Jane,
The very best material for long lasting comfort is pure, organic latex.
Since you’re price conscious, you have to be careful about buying cheap latex that’s made in China, where they add clay as a filler when processing latex.
Clay is a natural material, so it’s sold as all natural latex.
Due to the clay filler it doesn’t last very long…a matter of months instead of years.

Fibromyalgia is a progressive condition.

I have been suffering with fibromyalgia for years. It’s gotten worse over time.
I need to make my mattress as soft as possible without sinking so far into it that it makes my back hurt. Memory foam is out. I want the durability of latex.
What’s the best, softest latex mattress topper?

You’re wise to avoid memory foam, as it will cause you to sink into it.

​Hi Pete, I am staying in an hotel and i have slept sooooo good!!!!!
The mattress is a Sealy Posturepedic Encore 720 plush. 
Do you know any mattresses that are similar? 
I can’t seem to find this to buy on any website. Do you think they discontinued this mattress?

That’s an old mattress.
There should be a label attached to one of the seems at the head of the mattress.
That label should show you the date of manufacture.

I believe that mattress was made prior to 2014.
Tempur-Pedic purchased Sealy in 2013. 
In January of 2014, everything changed…and not for the better.
You won’t find anything made today using the components in that mattress.
That’s the bad news.
The good news? You can stop wasting your time looking for something that no longer exists.
