I need to replace my “GARDEN VINE Sealy Posturepedic SpringFree 100%latex core mattress, which you recommended it to me many years ago, I have loved sleeping on it. Now, however, I’m putting towels and rugs into the dips to try to level the surface. What is the closest thing to this I can get? I need firm with a strong edge guard in full. Thank you. I wrote you a year ago about replacing our old Simmons Beautyrest mattress. You advised we keep it for as long as we are comfortable. We are still comfortable! I appreciated your honesty. Now we are in the market for a mattress for a Murphy bed I made for guests, and for me when I get CoVid which as a school teacher is more often than I would like. It is a queen sized bed, the mattress must conform to the following: Specifications: Thickness including pillow top up to 12 inches and weight between 65 and 80 pounds. Had you replaced your mattress with another Beautyrest, you’d be unhappy with it now, only a year later. Since a Murphy bed is restrictive in thickness, I have a recommendation that includes 2 items… a mattress and topper. The mattress has a pocketed coil system for supporting your body… much the same as a Beautyrest mattress. The upholstery comfort layer is made of latex. Your mattress is has polyurethane, and maybe some latex. More importantly neither has any memory foam in it, which is what makes today’s Beautyrest mattresses so short lived. The Eco-Terra Latex Hybrid Mattress is my recommendation. Due to your weight, I recommend the Medium Firm option for durability. The mattress is 11” thick… leaving little room for a topper, should you find that the mattress is too firm to sleep on comfortably. I am currently shopping for a new mattress because I am tired of sleeping in the "hole" in my current mattress. The current mattress was one with a pillow top. This was apparently a mistake due to the fact that I am 6'1" and 250 pounds. And while the stores hype it as the best thing since sliced bread, I'm here to tell you that it is, in fact, the worst material ever invented for use in a mattress. As you say, they feel great in the showroom. And that is all that memory foam is good for...making the sale. After that, you're screwed. Besides being a lousy product, it off-gasses the toxic chemicals from which it's made. It's a danger to you and every living creature in your home. Memory foam is the lowest quality upholstery material available. When you buy low quality, then yes, that's what you can expect. Latex foam is the original foam rubber. It is and has been the highest quality material for nearly 100 years. Not only is it the best for support, comfort and durability, pure, all natural latex is completely chemical free… lasting for many years. We’re buying Queen size Mattresses for my 2 teens. Both <125 lbs. Any recommendations on inexpensive firm mattresses for them?
