A Mattress for a 3 Year Old Girl

I'm looking for a mattress for my 3 year old girl.
I'm not sure where to start.

You start by avoiding mattresses made with memory foam.
Most memory foam mattresses off gas toxic chemicals.
All memory foams sleep hot and wear out quickly.


A 3 year old child has to have firm support for growing bones.
A firm, individually pocketed coil mattress is where to start.

Looking forward, about 10 years, your daughter will like start to take on a more womanly shape. At that time, she’ll want a bit more surface comfort to accommodate her widening hips.

Following these recommendations will result in long term use.
At about the age of 12, It’s typical for girls to want a makeover for their bedrooms, which usually includes a larger mattress.
So, if you have space in her bedroom, I suggest buying a full or queen size now, which will save you from having to replace the mattress then.
