Memory Foam made the scene about 15 years ago, via direct marketing on TV. Advertised as the Swedish Sleep System, developed by NASA engineers. (One can only imagine what those NASA engineers were doing in Sweden - but that's another story). Today, the product line has developed into much fancier mattresses, with pillowtops, eurotops and boxtops...and tagged with fancy prices to go along with their fancy look.
